Dallas was just seconds from being in a precarious position against Calgary in the quarterfinals of the playoff bubble in Edmonton.

But with twelve seconds left in the third period, Joe Pavelski was able to send in 4-4 on the return after Calgary goalkeeper Cam Talbot first saved John Klingberg's back shot. That was Paveski's third goal of the match.

- This was probably my most important goal so far for the team and a decisive match for the series. It was also my first hat trick in a playoff. I had a good feeling the whole match, says Pavelski.

"Nice to see a shot go in"

In overtime, Alexander Radulov steered a shot from Klingberg from the blue line and Dallas won 5-4.

- I have not seen the statistics yet, but I think I got to probably 15 shot attempts today so it was nice to see one go in, says Klingberg.

The Swedish full-back, who was first credited with the winning goal, is noted for three assists in the match.

In Calgary, which led by both 3-2 and 4-3, defender Rasmus Andersson answered for an assist.
