Colombian Daniel Felipe Martínez (Education First) has been proclaimed winner of the Dauphiné Criterium once the fifth and last stage contested with departure and arrival in Mégeve, of 153.5 kilometers, has been completed, in which the American Sepp Kuus ( Jumbo Visma).

Kuus entered the finish line alone with a time of 4h.58.39, leading Martinez by 27 seconds and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) by 29.

The Frenchman Thibaut Pinot, who had come out on top due to the withdrawal of the Slovenian Primoz Roglic, could not defend the first place when he lost 1.02 at the finish line, 35 behind Martínez, who he led in the general to 12 seconds.

On the podium, the highest step for Daniel Martínez, 24, who is also proclaimed the best young rider in Dauphiné. He is accompanied by Pinot, second; and his compatriot Guillaume Martin (Cofidis) third.
