Brynäs has invested in its women's team ahead of the season and has the goal of becoming a top team in the SDHL.

On Saturday, the pre-season started with a Gävledaladerby against Leksand at home in a match where as many as nine new acquisitions made their first match. But despite this, they had no problem finding the chemistry early.

The chain led by the new acquisition Jaycee Gebhard repeatedly got heavy pressure on the guests through the match and created chaos around Leksandskassen, which gave 11-1 in shots and a 2-0 lead after the first period. Hanna Thuvik and Maja Nylén-Persson goal scorers.

Up to 7-0 in others

Brynäs' dominance became even greater in the second period. There, the black-clad went up to a 7-0 lead before the middle beat was over. With the big and reassuring lead, the pace of the match slowed down during the third period and it all ended 10-0.

- We come out very strong and live in their zone. We get started, use everyone on the team and everyone is eager to play. It's great fun to be back again, get in some pucks and gain some confidence, says Nylén-Persson, who became a two-goal shooter in the match, to the club's website.

One of Brynäs' big stars in Lara Stalder was dominant and was noted for three goals and two assists.

- We make a good match both offensively and defensively, it's really fun to watch, says Brynäs coach, Henrik Glaas.
