Östersunds FK shook Arsenal in the Europa League. After a 0-3 loss at home, ÖFK won 2-1 in London. But the Europa League adventure ended there.

That was in February 2018. Since then, a lot has happened.

Coach Graham Potter has become manager of the Premier League and many of the stars have disappeared from the club. At the moment, ÖFK is last in the Allsvenskan.

The then chairman Daniel Kindberg has had to spend a lot of time and effort on legal proceedings. He has been sentenced to three years in prison for financial crime for his refusal, and this autumn, appeals court hearings await.

"Easy to control"

Today Kindberg released a book. It is an autobiography called "My life: no defense".

- It is definitely not a defense speech. The lawsuit has only been going on for four percent (2.5 years) of my life. It does not define me as a man, person, football manager or businessman, Kindberg says to SVT Sport.

Why should we believe what you write?

- It's up to everyone. What I write is pretty easy to control. You choose how you want to look at people and what you want to believe in.

He visited Morgonstudion on SVT today. Then he talked about the change in life.

- I am used to being praised or ridiculed in different periods. It has not affected me, he says.

Easier to be praised than mocked?

- Yes, it's purely human. It is much, much harder for my loved ones and feel about the sadness that comes up. Which they may not recognize or are not real.

Going back to football

Do you feel any personal responsibility for the club being where it is today?

- Yes, of course I do. In 2019, I lent SEK 6.5 million so that they would not go bankrupt last summer. So, of course, I feel a great responsibility for the club that I love above all else, except my children.

What would happen to your career in football if you were also convicted in the Court of Appeal?

- I really do not know. But there is no direct return to any football, it feels strange.

Is there anything that worries you?

- It worries me absolutely nothing. I'll be back to football.

This autumn, appeals court hearings await and he is also suspected of bribery.
