RC Strasbourg striker Lebo Mothiba, who is due to undergo knee tendon surgery soon, will be unavailable for four to five months, the club was told on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old South African player should be absent from the field at least until January 2021. A new blow for Racing which must already do without the services of its titular goalkeeper, Matz Sels, operated on the tendon of 'Achilles in July.

The Alsatian club has also seen its summer preparation truncated after being forced to place in fourteen players who tested positive for the coronavirus and to cancel three friendly matches.
