According to experts, the most talented player in the draft is 18-year-old Canadian striker Alexis Lafrenier, who plays for Rimuski in QMJHL. He became the highest scoring player in the Quebec league with 112 points (35 goals, 77 assists) in 52 games. The striker also became the most valuable player in the youth world championship in the Czech Republic, which was won by the Canadian team.
