The coach of the Colombian national team, Jorge Luis Pinto, expressed his deep sadness after the death of the historical coach of Colombian football, Gabriel Ochoa, pointing out that the death of the latter was a severe blow for him, as he considered Ochoa his first teacher in football at the level of play and then training.

Pinto posted on his personal account on Twitter a message of lament to Gabriel Ochoa's family after his death, saying: "From afar, I feel a great emptiness in my heart. Doctor Gabriel Ochoa, the source of inspiration and guide in the world of football, has left, goodbye, teacher."

He added, "You will always be present in our stadiums and in our hearts, an incomparable teacher. He always taught us to win and understood that work is the way to success. My feelings go to Donna Cecilia, Gabriel, German Alberto and Hector."

Ochoa Uribe died last Saturday in Cali, Colombia, at the age of 90, as he is the coach that has won the Colombian League title.

Pinto spoke to the Colombian Radio Blue Radio, saying, "He was like a teacher for me, and he was a model in commitment to work, so he succeeded greatly. I always showed my admiration for his personality."

The Colombian newspaper, Football Interlinas, said: “In the seventies of the last century, Pinto was absent from some classes at the University of Bogota, where he was studying physical education, and he went to attend Dr. Ochoa’s training with Milionarius. His students ».

She also said that on May 13, 2019, Pinto suddenly left his Melonarius team hours before an important meeting, to check on the health of the late Ochoa.
