Stade Brestois and OGC Nice announced on Tuesday the transfer of defender Christophe Hérelle, who has signed a four-year contract with the Breton club. The amount of the transfer was not specified.

Trained in Sochaux, this 27-year-old Martiniquan started in Colmar (National) before proving himself in Ligue 2 with Créteil then in Ligue 1 with Troyes and joining Nice in 2018.

The defense of Brest needed it

Versatile defender, trained in the axis and also able to evolve on the right, he played 52 matches and scored 3 goals in the Nice jersey, but he had been warned that he would "play less" now given the competition in its sector.

The Brest central defense, on the other hand, had an urgent need for reinforcement after the departure of Jean-Charles Castelletto (Nantes) and the injury of Denys Bain, who suffered at the end of July a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligaments of the left knee and will be unavailable until 2021.
