Villarreal CF has made official the arrival at the club of the Japanese footballer, Takefusa Kubo , with whom he will have this season on loan from Real Madrid.

Kubo arrives at Villarreal on loan and without a purchase option, the La Plana team taking over his salary and a bonus of two and a half million for his assignment. With this, the Castellón team closes one of the reinforcements that it most needed, since they were looking for a player who would cover the absence of Santi Cazorla in the creation line.

That of the Japanese player is a risky bet by a young player of projection for that task, although he has the express confidence of coach Unai Emery who requested his arrival from the first moment.

The Japanese footballer had many offers from both Spanish and foreign football, but Villarreal's option has been valued as the best for both Real Madrid and the player's environment.

Kubo, 19, completed a very good season in his loan at RCD Mallorca, being one of their most outstanding players, scoring four goals and giving four goal assists.

After growing up in the Barcelona quarry, he returned to his country in 2016, to play for FC Tokyo and Yokohama Marinos, in the 17-18 and 18-19 seasons. After signing for Real Madrid in 2019, he was loaned to Mallorca last season and Villarreal this season.
