The death of the Sheikh of coaches in Syria

The Basketball Association in Syria, on its official Facebook page, mourned the sheikh of the Syrian coaches, who has 50 years of experience in basketball training, Sheikh Najib's salary, after he passed away today, at the age of 70.

Sheikh Najib is considered one of the most prominent Syrian coaches at the Arab and Asian levels, and his name has been associated with many clubs, since he took over the Damascene unit training in 1967 when he was appointed coach for the Junior and Junior categories, before continuing his career towards professionalism abroad, especially in the UAE League, by training the UAE, Al Jazeera and Al Nasr teams. The last of which was Al Wasl in 2015.

His career also included coaching the Syrian national teams, as he trained the men's and youth team, and arrived with the Syrian youth team to the World Cup in Canada in 1991.
