Feyenoord won its first exhibition game in the run-up to the new season on Sunday. The team from Rotterdam was 3-0 too strong for fellow townsman Sparta in De Kuip. PSV won in Marienfeld in Germany with the same figures against Second Bundesliga club KFC Uerdingen 05.

Within fifteen minutes, Feyenoord was already leading 2-0 thanks to two hits from Róbert Bozeník. The Slovakian striker headed in the thirteenth minute on a cross from Ridgeciano Haps and two minutes later he shot in from the inside of the post.

It didn't take long before the 3-0 was also a fact via Crysencio Summerville, who scored in the 22nd minute. Trainer Dick Advocaat made no fewer than nine changes in the break, as a result of which acquisitions Bryan Linssen and Mark Diemers made their unofficial debut.

Nicolai Jørgensen, Jens Toornstra and Orkun Kökçü, among others, also made their appearance in the second half. With the almost new line-up, Feyenoord could no longer score in the sweltering Kuip, which was filled by 3,000 supporters.

The team from Rotterdam will continue the practice campaign next week with a practice match against FC Twente and will play friendly duels with Borussia Dortmund and MSV Duisburg at the end of this month.

PSV closes training camp in style

The PSV of trainer Roger Schmidt took a 1-0 lead against Uerdingen in the tenth minute by a goal from Cody Gakpo. That score remained on the scoreboard, until substitute Sam Lammer made the second goal fifteen minutes before the end. In the 88th minute Lammers was also responsible for the 3-0.

For PSV, the exhibition game with Uerdingen 05 was the end of the training camp in Germany, after a hat-trick by Noni Madueke also won 3-0 against SC Verl on Saturday.

Madueke again had a basic place against Uerdingen, but this time he didn't score. It was striking that Jordan Teze was allowed to start centrally in the back again, but especially that Schmidt posted Mauro Júnior as left back.

The Brazilian, who played at Heracles Almelo on a rental basis last year, is normally an attacking midfielder. Dante Rigo, the Belgian midfielder who has returned from a rental period at Sparta, played as a right back.
