16 cases of Corona virus among an Egyptian team

The Egyptian Port Said club announced the discovery of 16 cases of the new Corona virus among the ranks of the first team, after conducting the last medical swab yesterday, Saturday.

Al-Masry stated on his official website that the club's medical staff headed by Dr. Shadi Al-Saadani had received notifications from the medical committee of the Egyptian Football Association headed by Dr. Muhammad Sultan, stating that 16 members of the technical staff and players had been infected with the Corona virus.

Al-Masry revealed that there are 12 players among the 16 infected, to be the second team most affected by the virus after the military production, in which 18 cases were discovered at once 3 weeks ago.

The disclosure of these injuries among Al-Masry came on the eve of his meeting in the league against the border guards, which prompted his administration to submit a request to postpone the meeting indefinitely due to the current circumstances, but the federation rejected his request and decided to keep the match scheduled for Monday evening in the eighteenth stage.

The Federation’s decision to keep the match dates as stated in the announced schedule comes in light of its conviction that positive cases with this large number were proven in one team, as a result of a failure to follow the due precautionary measures.
