Alex Norén is still good at the PGA Championship in San Francisco.

During the second round, the Swede went around in one stroke under par and has a total of minus four. A bogey on the twelfth hole seemed to be able to ruin the fine result, but the Swede saved the day with two straight birdies on holes 14 and 15. He is thus divided eleven, four strokes from the lead.

There, at the forefront, is Li Haotong, who could become the first Chinese men's golfer to win a major. He took the lead in the PGA Championship early on Friday, and he kept it all day.

The 25-year-old has gone on 67 and 65 strokes respectively and is eight under par after half the race in San Francisco. He thus leads by two strokes ahead of six players.

- I did not think at all that I could play like this this week, I had no self-confidence at all when I came here, he says after his rounds - where he with the hits only hit four of 14 fairways.

- Now I do not really have any expectations. I've only been home the last few months and just want to go out on the track and have fun. There's a lot left, I just want to do my best, we'll see what happens.

Tough for Tiger

Australian Jason Day, who led after the first day, went around one stroke below par and with that result belongs to the group that is two strokes behind Li Haotong. After his round, he stated that the already fast greens have become even faster and that strong gusts of wind made the course even more difficult to play.

-I like difficult courses and asked for a difficult course, but once I was out there so… It was tough, says Day.

It was also tough for Tiger Woods, who despite big problems on the greens with a kind of margin can continue to play in the competition during the weekend.

Norén alone Swedish

Stockholmer Norén, who slipped into the competition as a reserve, will be the only Swede during the weekend's decisive. Henrik Stenson did not get the game to sue on Friday.

Just like during his first 18 holes, Stenson offered mixed compote, unfortunately mostly of the bitter kind. In total, there were six bogeys and four birdies and two strokes over par, which will also be his final record in the competition - a stroke from managing the so-called cut.

It was even harder for the third Swede in the starting field, Marcus Kinhult. He started the day four over par and after another 18 holes he ends on eleven strokes over the course's ideal result.
