"We decided that Dylan would no longer participate in races until the UCI (International Cycling Union) made a decision about the incident," said the formation in a statement. Jakobsen crashed heavily shortly before the finish line of the first stage of the Tour of Poland on Wednesday in Katowice.

The defending Dutch champion was crushed by Dylan Groenewegen in a sprint at full speed, downhill, and was thrown over the barriers. Jakobsen was then plunged into an induced coma, which he emerged from on Friday, while Groenewegen underwent surgery for a broken collarbone.
