Trainer Peter Bosz and Bayer Leverkusen have qualified without any problems for the quarterfinals of the Europa League. After the 1-3 victory for the corona stop at Rangers FC, the return was won 1-0 on Thursday in Leverkusen. Wolverhampton Wanderers, which started the European season more than a year ago, has also progressed to the last eight.

On Monday, Leverkusen competes with Internazionale for a place in the last four. Like all other confrontations in the quarterfinals and also in the semi-finals, it is only a duel on neutral ground in Germany. The Europa League final will take place on Friday 21 August in Cologne.

Daley Sinkgraven had a starting spot against Rangers at Leverkusen and completed the ninety minutes as a left back. The only goal of the game in an empty BayArena was made by Moussa Diaby six minutes after half-time.

Wolverhampton recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Olympiacos in its own stadium, which was sufficient after the 1-1 in Greece in March. Raúl Jiménez scored the only goal of the game in the eighth minute from the penalty spot.

Two more duels in progress

The eighth final between Sevilla and AS Roma was decided on Thursday about a game on neutral ground in Duisburg, because the first leg in Spain was canceled in March due to the corona virus. Sevilla won 2-0. Before the break, the Spanish club, which won the Europa League in 2014, 2015 and 2016, led by two goals difference by hits from Sergio Reguilón and Youssef En Nesyri, who were preferred over Luuk de Jong.

The Dutch striker was allowed to come on in the 93rd minute and got an elbow push from Roma defender Gianluca Mancini three minutes later. Referee Björn Kuipers then gave the Italian the red card. Justin Kluivert had no playing time with Roma.

On Wednesday, in addition to Internazionale, Manchester United, FC Copenhagen and Shakhtar Donetsk also qualified for the quarterfinals.
