It will be several months before we get to see Swedish ski stars in the tracks. But at the end of August, they make up for roller skis in the Alliance race in Trollhättan.

For the elite skiers, two races with interval start await. On August 27, the ladies drive 10 kilometers and the men drive 15 kilometers. Then there is the back sprint of 1.2 kilometers on August 28. Charlotte Kalla, Frida Karlsson, Calle Halfvarsson and Viktor Thorn are some of those who will participate in the races that will be broadcast on SVT1.

- We are happy to be able to show several of the biggest Swedish long distance stars in a genre rep before the season. In addition, within the framework of the broadcast, we will report from the Swedish Championships in roller biathlon, where we will for the first time see Stina Nilsson on the shooting range in a competition context, says SVT Sports project manager Max Bursell.

- It will be fantastic fun that the competition season starts, and that it takes place in Trollhättan naturally feels extra fun for us. Tough competitions will be offered in a beautiful and spectacular competition area, says competition organizer Magnus Larsson.

The alliance race usually includes both elite and exercisers, but due to covid-19, there will only be elite skiers in August. Exercisers have to wait until October.

No spectators will be present at the competitions.
