In the team's second meeting, the conference six Nashville held the baton, after surprisingly losing the first match 4-3 against Arizona, which finished in eleventh place in the Western Conference.

Mattias Ekholm was noted for an assist when Nick Bonino scored Nashville's first goal in the eighth minute. Less than three minutes later, Ryan Johansen managed to get a chance shot that found its way between Arizona goalkeeper Darcy Kuemper's legs - and it was 2-0 to Nashville.

"Game Engines"

In the second period, Calle Järnkrok extended the team's lead to 3-0. Filip Forsberg then had several shots on goal, before Viktor Arvidsson came free in powerplay and put a hard long shot in Arizona's box with just over six minutes left of the match.

The chain with Arvidsson, Forsberg and Johansen together accounted for two goals, three points and ten shots.

- The three were game engines and played with a commitment that you must have when you do not have the puck, says Nashville's coach John Hynes after the match, according to nhl.com.

He continues:

- They have made good decisions and their intensity in the offensive zone has been strong.

Final score 4-2

With a 4-0 lead with a few minutes left in the game, victory was secured for Nashville, even though Arizona scored two consolation goals in the last minute of the match - and the final score was written to 4-2.

- We talked a lot with the team about mental strength, focus and to really take with them the lessons from the previous match. Our focus level was good, and the things we talked about, they really accomplished the players, says John Hynes.

In less than a day, on Wednesday afternoon local time, it is time for the third return meeting, in the best of five matches.

In the Eastern Conference, Toronto equalized their match series against Columbus to 1-1, after a 3-0 win, where William Nylander got an assist. Columbus won the team's first playoff meeting 2-0.
