German Stefan Bradl, Honda test driver, will replace Marc Márquez this weekend at the GP of the Czech Republic. The six-time MotoGP champion has been set aside by his team for the third round of the Mundal 2020, although he could also be left out of the following two races, which take place at the Red Bull Ring on August 16 and 23.
The loss of Márquez, who underwent another surgery on his right humerus on Monday, represents a terrible step backwards in his aspirations to add his fifth consecutive title.
"First of all I want to wish Marc a speedy recovery. What he did in Jerez was incredible and showed that he has the true spirit of a champion," said Bradl, who last season also replaced Jorge Lorenzo in the RC213V.
