A source inside the Zamalek club revealed a sharp dispute between the club’s management headed by Chancellor Mortada Mansour and the professional team player Ferjani Sassi, the team star because of the renewal of the player’s contract that will end at the end of the next season, which prompted the Board of Directors to offer the player for sale in January to benefit from the sale price and not His departure is free of charge.
The Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi was one of the pillars of the team during the last period and contributed to crowning the team with the Egyptian and African Super Championships, and he is linked with a contract with Zamalek until the end of the next season and he is entitled to sign for any club without charge in January next six months before the end of his contract.
A source from inside the club told the Egyptian website “Echo Al Balad”: “There is disagreement between the Zamalek administration and Ferjani Sassi, regarding reaching a final financial agreement on extending the player’s contract during the coming period. Zamalek offered Ferjani Sassi to receive one million and 250 thousand dollars annually in exchange for the extension His contract, while the player required two million dollars annually.
He added: "Mortada Mansour settled in the event that Ferjani Sassi did not extend his contract with Zamalek during the coming period.
