Joonas Korpisalo made 28 saves and helped his team to a 2-0 victory. His Danish colleague in Toronto, Frederik Andersen, made 34 saves and nailed again in two periods but saw the puck go to goal just a minute into the third period.

That goal, a wrist shot from Cam Atkinson, looked to be math's only for a long time. But with 19 seconds left to play, Alexander Wennberg was able to nail the final result 2-0 in the open box - the Swede's only second playoff goal in his NHL career.

The match hero Korpisalo was calm after the match, and thanked his teammates for not having a net mess behind him.

- It felt safe and good right from the start. I think the guys played really well in front of goal and fought so that I could see the puck all the time. It was really cruel, he says.

The champions lost

Colorado beat St. Louis in the seeding qualifier for the Stanley Cup playoffs. In power play, Gabriel Landeskog hit the post, whereupon Nazem Kadri - with only a tenth of a second left to play - scored 2-1 for Colorado.

-It feels like we can beat all the teams. Had we not had that feeling, we would not have been here today, says Colorado coach Jared Bednar.
