The UAE Professional League has announced the dates of the matches of the competitions of the Arab Gulf League, the Arab Gulf Cup and the Arab Gulf League U-21 for the 2020-2021 season, after a coordination meeting with representatives of rights-owned channels: Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Sports, held last week with the technology of video calling remotely.

A press statement said: "The meeting was chaired by Hassan Talib Al-Marri, member of the association's board of directors, head of the technical committee, and was attended by Walid Al-Hosani, CEO, employees of the concerned departments and representatives of the transport channels, during which the proposed dates for the matches were discussed in light of the results of the sports season draw held on July 18 ".

The kick-off for the new sports season 2020-2021 will be in the Arab Gulf Cup championship with its new system, where the preliminary rounds will be held in two rounds: the first on 3 and 4 September 2020, then the second on 1 and 2 October 2020.

The first round will witness the establishment of three games on its first day, where it will host Al-Jazirah Federation team Al-Jazira team at seven in the evening, and at the same time the Al-Ahly and Al-Dhafra youth match will be held, and the first day of the tour will be concluded with the meeting of Fujairah and Ajman at nine thirty in the evening.

On the second day of the tour, two games will be held at 7 pm: Hatta and Baniyas, Al-Ain and Khorfakkan. The tour ends with the Al-Wahda and Al-Wasl match at nine thirty in the evening.

According to the new competition system, the team of Sharjah, the champion of the Arab Gulf League, and Al-Nasr, the champion of the Arab Gulf Cup, go directly to the quarter-finals.

As for the Arab Gulf League Championship, it will start on the ninth of September 2020 by holding the first round over three days (9-10-11 September). On its first day, it will host the Kalba Union of Al-Ahly Youth Team at 6:45 pm, then Hatta will be the guest of unity in 9:30 p.m. same day, and the first round competitions will continue with two games on the second day (September 10) Al-Oula Fujairah and Sharjah gather at 6:45 pm, followed by Al-Ain and Khor Fakkan match at nine thirty in the evening.

The tour ends with three matches on the third day (September 11), Ajman will be a guest at Al Dhafra at 6:45 pm, and at the same time Al Wasl will host the Bani Yas team, followed by Al-Nasr and Al-Jazira match at nine thirty.

The first round of the Arab Gulf League championship is scheduled to end with the holding of round 13 on January 1 and 2, 2021.
