In the end, Ding Junhui defeated Mark-Jin 10:9 with a performance of 3 strokes breaking 100 and 5 strokes 50+, and he advanced to the top 16 of the World Championships for the 11th time.
After winning the first round, Ding Junhui will face the winner between O'Sullivan and Tachaia in the second round on August 7, 8 and 9.
