At the AS Saint-Etienne training center, the hazing went very badly. The evening of the final of the Coupe de France, which opposed Paris to Saint-Etienne, turned into a nightmare for two young people from the training center of the Saint-Etienne club. They were hit with a stick by three of their comrades. A complaint against X has been filed.
Internal sanctions and complaint against X
After watching the defeat of Saint-Etienne against Paris, the two teenagers aged 15 and 16 returned to their rooms, they were then beaten with sticks by three of their elders. The young people waited several days before telling their educators. They suffered from concussions but their condition did not require hospitalization.

The club cannot tolerate acts that are inappropriate and contrary to the values enshrined in its sports project of excellence.

The club considers these acts "inappropriate and contrary to the values of the sports project". The crisis meetings have multiplied, the sanctions have fallen: the alleged aggressors are laid off as a precaution, two of them have received a summons for an interview prior to a sanction. The Saint-Etienne club also lodged a complaint against X. The Saint-Etienne gendarmerie brigade was seized and no judicial investigation was opened for assault and battery. AS Saint-Etienne would have gone well with this embarrassing affair, especially as it relies heavily on its training center, which has become fourth best in France.
