This was not a situation that Henrik Lundqvist was used to last winter. In the New York Rangers, he had fierce competition for playing time and even had to spend time in the stands. Something that teammate Mika Zibanejad thinks was difficult for him.

- I think in the beginning it was tough. It has been as long as he has been the goalkeeper for Rangers. Of course it must feel strange, he says to SVT Sport.

But Lunkan was still just as professional despite the setbacks.

- At the same time, he came in for every training and worked really hard and competed out there. It spreads to others. He has kept his spirits up anyway.

"Not notified"

In Rangers' only training match before the restart, Lundqvist had to stand half the match. Who gets the confidence when it starts tomorrow night, however, remains to be seen.

- We have not yet been told who will be standing tomorrow. It will be interesting and fun to watch. We have three good goalkeepers, I feel safe with everyone. So it will be good, says Zibanejad.

And if it is Lundqvist who gets the chance, then Zibanejad trusts him 100 percent.

- Anything can happen in a playoff. He has been with the Rangers and taken them far in many playoffs. He knows what it takes.
