The Swedish duo's setup in the match was simple, Arvidsson scored the goals, Forsberg the assistants. Together with center Ryan Johansen, they dominated in front of the Dallas goal.

Only when Arvidsson sent in a return on his compatriot's shot in powerplay at the beginning of the first period. Then - the nicer - when Forsberg found Arvidsson with a pass behind his back that gave 2-0 barely nine minutes into the second.

- When we came back after the break, it was fun to get started and play with them again. It was as if the chemistry between us was there right away and it only made it even better to come back, says Filip Forsberg according to nhl.com.

"Starting over from the beginning"

The trio played a lot together during last year's season, but until the break earlier this year, there were not as many games together as a chain.

- We were all a bit disappointed with how we played, individually, so this break was a good way to relax from hockey, take a step back and look at the game in a different way, says Forsberg, who is not worried about the form.

The match was the team's first since the North American ice hockey league was suspended in March due to the corona pandemic, and the only training match before the playoffs begin this weekend.

Another Swede found the net in tonight's training matches. When Columbus defeated Boston 4-1, Gustav Nyquist scored the team's 3-0 goal, which he put into play in numerical superiority.

The NHL playoffs begin on Saturday.
