Bartosz Grzelak is the one who will take over as head coach for AIK after Rikard Norling left the assignment earlier this week.

- It is somewhere a dream come true to be able to train AIK. When I got the message that they chose me, it felt really cool, he says to SVT Sport.

He most recently came from the job as assistant coach in the U21 national team and has also been in IK Frej Täby for ten years. But it is not a new face in AIK. Grzelak has been in the club both as a youth player and as an assistant coach in 2018, something he thinks made a difference now.

- I think it probably affects that I have been in AIK before. AIK knows what I stand for and I know what AIK is for a club, he says.

Grzelaks has signed a contract with AIK until 31 December 2022 and his first match as the new head coach will be against Kalmar on Sunday.
