Örnsköldsvik's son Jesper Sellgren left Modo two seasons ago and has for the past two years played with Luleå where he had a promising development in the SHL. Sellgren averaged the fourth most ice time in the top team during the basic series last year.

It is now clear that he will be loaned out from his NHL club, Carolina Hurricanes, for continued play in the SHL over the 20/21 season - but not to Luleå.

Instead, it is the reigning champions Frölunda who have attached the back star to them.

- We are of course satisfied with that. Jesper is a top defender who has had a good development during his two seasons in Luleå. Now we get the opportunity to develop him further and we are happy about that, says sports director Fredrik Sjöström.

"A good alternative"

Sellgren himself about changing Luleå to Frölunda:

- I wanted to a club where I can develop further and then Frölunda is a good alternative. This solution will be good and it will be fun to play another SHL season.
