The 19-year-old athlete Claudia Hernández Rey died last Monday, July 27 in a traffic accident. The young woman was traveling in a car with four friends who, fortunately, are safe.
The Spanish Athletics Federation expressed its condolences for the loss of Claudia, who was also a coach and judge , according to the Twitter of the Andalusian Federation. According to information from the Ideal de Granada, the young woman, who died on the spot, was traveling with four friends when the vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree on the GR-7100, which joins the A-92 with the locality of Bácor.
Claudia Hernández was also a nursing student. Many athletes have expressed their dismay and condolences on social media.
