Two magical minutes in the first half helped Vittsjö out of a heavy initial period in the damallsvenskan. After 37 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Elisabet Klinga to get through. There was Ebba Wieder who from the penalty spot could steer the ball into goal, unreachable for Emma Holmgren in the Uppsala goal.

Less than a minute later, Klinga again hit a nice post into the penalty area. This was Clara Markstedt at the far post. Holmgren managed the first attempt but Markstedt was able to hit the rebound and 2-0 in Skåne.

Vittsjö has had a difficult start to the season with cruciate ligament injuries to both goalkeeper Sabrina D'Angelo and important midfielder Tove Almqvist and last year's three Vittsjö were without victories before today's meeting.

Vittsjö's bad luck seemed to hold up when Uppsala reduced twice in the second half. But Clara Markstedt was able to put the nail in the coffin in overtime when she completed her hat trick to 4-2. After six winless matches, Vittsjö was able to take the first victory of the season.
