Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that its player, Mariano Diaz, had contracted the new Corona virus.
Real Madrid said in a statement on its official website today: "After the new Corona virus tests that the first team players underwent yesterday, by the club's medical services, the result of the sample taken from the player Mariano was positive."
The statement added: "The player is in excellent health now, and implements the sanitary isolation protocol at his home."
Real Madrid is preparing to meet Manchester City, in the second leg of the sixteen Champions League football, on the seventh of next August, where he lost 1/2 away at home last February.
