German football club Borussia Moenchengladbach seems to intend to reward a fan who refused to pronounce the Cologne team, the traditional rival of Mönchengladbach, on a TV competition program and waive his prize money in this way.
The club posted a tweet through its official account on the social networking site "Twitter": "This ideal behavior must be rewarded.
Earlier this month, the candidate on the ARD TV contest was asked the name of the team that won the German second division title in 2019.
Although the contestant knew that Kowloon was the correct answer, he said, "No, I will not pronounce this name."
The contestant’s refusal to answer this question caused him to leave the competition, but at least he returned to his home after receiving 2,500 euros ($ 2930) and stressed: “I will never pronounce the name, given that I am a fan of Mönchengladbach, and not for any money in the world.”
