According to the Kansai Student Baseball Federation, on the 20th of this month, it was revealed that a student who did not belong to the baseball club at Kyoto University who joined the league was infected with the new coronavirus, and all club activities became self-restrained. From the 28th, Kyoto University has offered to withdraw from the league match in the spring.

In response to this, the Kansai Student Baseball Federation has decided to cancel the spring league match on the 28th, considering the effect of the spread of infection.

This is the first time that the League game has been canceled at the Kansai Student Baseball League since the league was established in 1982, 38 years ago.

In the Kansai Student Baseball Federation, from April to May every year, the team that won the first two games is given a point to win the spring league game, but this event postponed the opening and next month 9th. It was planned to be held in round-robin per game.
