• Fuenlabrada.The squad rebels

The LaLiga Judge of Social Discipline has considered that the Fuenlabrada acted correctly and rebukes Deportivo and the Galician politicians, although without express allusion, for the "media noise" that the case of the COVID-19 infections of the Madrid group and his trip to Galicia for the dispute of the last game of the Second Division.

In his resolution, to which EFE has had access, Manuel Rivero González agrees "not to adopt the provisional measure requested by the instructor of the file, consisting of the suspension of the right" of Fuenlabrada "to participate in professional competition during the processing of this proceedings".

The judge considers that "it would be absurd to think" that in the current conditions in which Fuenlabrada finds itself, with more than twenty COVID-19 cases, that the team "can participate in any official elite competition, such as the Smartbank League "

In addition, in its resolution, prior to LaLiga's request to the Competition Committee to permanently suspend the match, it ensures that the match "will certainly not be able to be played" and says that the Galician team "has not publicly shown the slightest intention , desire, or willingness to play. "

He also considers that the "result is absolutely inconsequential" for the Galician team "having already dropped to Segunda B."

"The suspension or not of the right of the Fuenlabrada to participate in the competition does not affect Deportivo, which in the current circumstances should not have the slightest interest in playing such a match, absolutely devoid of importance, going their interests for other courses," he maintains .

In this sense, he disapproves of one of the arguments put forward by Deportivo, that having played his match on a day that had unified schedules could have altered the results of Lugo and Albacete , which have sent him to the Second Division B.

"The projection of a hypothesis about the past , that is, if the dispute of this meeting would have influenced others that were played simultaneously, it approaches a science-fiction exercise that cannot be undertaken here," the judge reasoned.

He also criticizes the "media repercussion" that everything related to the suspension of the meeting has had since, in his opinion, "has come to exceed the reasonable limits of the events that occurred."

"The Fuenlabrada has not violated any rule of the aforementioned protocols, nor has it made it possible for negligence or carelessness, but has merely followed the instructions of LaLiga, the only one competent in the matter. It is impossible to attribute, at least at this headquarters , not the origin of the contagion, but an infraction of the norms ", assures.

Rivero González considers that infections in Fuenlabrada are "the result of chance or, perhaps, of some negligence, carelessness or imprudence".

The judge of Social Discipline also criticized Galician policy makers for pretending "to see responsibilities (even criminal) in the contagion of some athletes who have complied with all protocols (they and the entity for which they work) and take advantage of other people's misfortune to obtain benefits".

"This is said because it has been stated (and we refer again to the noisy context surrounding this file) that Fuenlabrada, or LaLiga, have brought the virus to Galicia, " he reflects in his ruling.

And he insists that "in the present case there are numerous 'conflicting interests'" that, in his opinion, "form part" of that "" media noise "promoted among others by those who, having benefited from the resumption of competition, seek to avoid the unfavorable consequences of their misclassification. "

It also emphasizes that "a single football match can affect the integrity of the competition a lot, little or nothing" and does not perceive a "breakdown in the integrity of the competition".

"The mediate rivals in the classification of either of the two contenders (Deportivo and Fuenlabrada) held their matches surely with the same intensity with which clubs already descended in the last days managed to beat, even at home, rivals who played a lot", warns.

In this sense, he maintains that one should not "invoke the purity of competition to extract its own advantages, and more than a collective disgrace".

And he specifies that, "in any case, the formal consequences of the holding or not of the pending meetings is a matter for the competent entities to decide", which are the Spanish Federation and LaLiga and not him.
