With eight goals and 14 assists, Muamer "Mujo" Tankovic, 25, was Hammarby's great successful player last season.

This year it has been heavier for the 25-year-old, who has scored three goals in ten matches, and now he may have made his last match in the green and white jersey.

Tankovic has not been selected for tonight's away match against Örebro SK, a decision made by the club.

- It is because he has an expiring contract and we want to play the players we know will remain. We have had a dialogue with Mujo, but it was our decision to find out a little more about the future. We can no longer hold on to it, says Jesper Jansson to SVT Sport.

Jansson believes that Hammarby would like to see Tankovic continue in the green and white shirt.

- Absolutely, he is one of the Allsvenskan's best players. We have been clear with "Mujo" and his agent that we are prepared to discuss a longer agreement, but we must be informed. We are happy to keep him if it is within reason and especially if "Mujo" himself wants it.

Furthermore, Hammarby is prepared in case Tankovic does not stay.

- We have not really included "Mujo" in the plans longer than until the summer. But it's a little different times now with corona and everything. So it is clear that if we agree and he stays, it is an addition that we did not count on.

Hammarby is in eleventh place in the table before tonight's match, Örebro is eight.
