The 28-year-old has represented Färjestad for two seasons and finished, as a fullback, four in the points league last year. In total, he accounted for 70 points in his two seasons at the Värmland club.

In the past year, he represented two teams in the KHL, Traktor Chelyabinsk and Ak Bars Kazan, but never came up with the same points harvest as in the SHL.

- Even though I did not score as many points as in Sweden, I am glad that I went. New experiences are always useful, and I was curious about hockey in Russia. Now I have tested it and I have no regrets, he says.

- We know what Jesse Virtanen can do on the ice. He is not the talk of the world, but is still a great leader in his way of playing, training and taking on the task. We also see that he comes back to us as proof that we are doing a lot of things right - that players want to return after an adventure in another country, says the club's GM, Peter Jakobsson.
