The derby loss against Djurgårdens IF was Rikard Norling's last match as AIK coach this time.

- It naturally feels both sad and sad that we have come to the decision to end the collaboration with Rikard Norling. Unfortunately, the sporting results and the sporting development during the year have not been at all in line with the ambitions that AIK has, which has made this decision inevitable and necessary, says AIK's sports manager Henrik Jurelius to the club's website.
Norling, who is the coach who led AIK in the most competitive matches through the ages, has had the main responsibility on the "gnawing" coaching bench between 2005-2008 and between 2016-2020.
