Kalmar FF cemented the bottom.

Mjällby AIF an impressive newcomer but who wanted to break a losing trend and let it stay at three straight zeros.

These were the conditions when the red-clad Smålanders visited Strandvallen for a meeting of three extremely important points.

In a staggering first half with varying quality of what took place on the field, it was KFF who created the most. But the only goal of the half came when the guests' star Viktor Elm kicked holes in the air and Mjällby could win the ball high.

Mamudo Moro was the strongest in the air outside the penalty area and found with his head up to a rushing Moses Ogbu who looked up before he easily widened in 1-0.

That was the result of the match until the halftime break.

- We will continue in the same way and get higher up with the inner midfield where we can continue to create chances. Sometimes you need very many chances to put the ball. As long as you create chances, there is hope, Nanne Bergstrand told Dplay before the second half.

Cold shower immediately

But at first it did not turn out as Kalmar had hoped.

Instead of starting the hunt for a draw, it was MAIF who grabbed the game and went to extend their lead.

After 64 minutes, Mohanad Jeahze sent the corner kick right to Mohanad Jeahze who headed it sharply past the keeper. Jesper Gustavsson ran into the penalty area and a few seconds later he had scored 2-0 - after Elm lost the mark behind his own back.

However, Kalmar responded to Mjällby's expansion by reducing just a few minutes later. 20-year-old Edvin Crona with the first goal of the season as he stayed at the far post on a post after the ground that reached all the way to his right foot.

Receipt in the last minute

Kalmar did not seem to come closer than that before the ball in the third of three extra minutes came into the penalty area via a late throw-in. There, defender Fidan Aliti stayed in front, picked down the ball, turned around and found the net at the far post. 2-2.

A couple of seconds after Mjällby's kick-off, the match was over.

- We offer two goals. In the last minute we have a corner and I do not know how they manage to get a throw down there, it is unbelievable, says a disappointed Jesper Gustavsson to Dplay afterwards.

All the happier in the Kalmar camp:

- We played well today and had good control even though they scored the only goal of the first half. We show good morale in the team and manage to come back and score goals at the last minute. We believed in it all the way and this is something for us to continue working on, says Aliti.

With the points, Kalmar hands over the jumbo place in the Allsvenskan to Falkenberg thanks to a better goal difference.
