Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeo confirmed that he has no doubts that Commander Lionel Messi will sign a new contract with Barca.
Messi, whose contract expires in 2021, described his team as "weak" and "wobbly", after losing the league title to Real Madrid.
"Messi has confirmed several times that he wants to retire here, and I have no doubts that he will sign a new contract," Bartumio told the Mondo Deportivo newspaper.
The Paris St Germain striker Neymar has been linked with the return to the Nou Camp, but Bartomeo said the only way for Barcelona to regain the Brazilian would be through a mutual deal.
