They told «Emirates Today» that the Corona virus contributed directly to the continuation of 71% of the coaches present in the clubs, after only four clubs announced a change in the technical staff level, with the departure of German Winfred Schaefer from Baniyas, and Italian Fabio Viviani from Fujairah, Serbian Goran Tovigdzic from Khorfakkan, and Spain's Manuel Khmeniz from Al-Wahda, stressing that this point is one of the most important positives in the coming season, which is the stability of 10 clubs and the retention of their coaches, which gives a good indication of the high level of technical level in the league.
For his part, Abdul Rahman Mohamed, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Nasr Football Company, stressed that stability is one of the most important factors for the success of any team. He said: «In the past seasons, a large number of clubs were making changes at the level of coaches, which always contributes to the instability of the results at the beginning of the season, claiming that the team contracted a new coach, and it needs some time for the players to adapt to the way they play.
He added: «The matter is not limited to changing coaches after the end of the season, but the biggest problem is that there are some clubs that are used to changing three or four coaches throughout the season, which is an unhealthy phenomenon, which negatively affects the returns of any team.
The former World Cup star pointed out that technical stability is one of the most important factors for any team’s success. He said: “I see that the model of the Scottish coach, Alex Ferguson, with Manchester United, is one of the most prominent examples that illustrate the importance of technical stability, as the beginning of the coach with the English team was not good. "But the club administration stuck to its continuity, after which it would achieve a historic march on the local and continental levels." In turn, the former Al-Ahly youth player, Hamza Abbas, stressed that the continuation of 10 coaches from last season may be the only positive thing from canceling the results of the Arab Gulf League, indicating that technical stability has an important role in the emergence of clubs well in the new season.
Abbas said: “I expected many clubs to change technical equipment, such as Al-Ahly youth, especially since the team is led by Spanish Zaragosa, who is mainly responsible for a U-21 team, but the management of the club confirmed its confidence in its capabilities, in return Sharjah has already contracted with Argentine Rodolfo Araparena, before the club’s management was changed, and the new administration decided that Abdulaziz Al-Anbari would stay in his position.
He continued: «The problem may arise after the passage of four rounds, and instead of the clubs not making changes at the level of coaches before the start of the season, negative results may contribute to the transfer of this process to occur after the start of the season, despite the importance of stability, and give the coaches a full opportunity.
For his part, said analyst at Abu Dhabi Sports Channels, Reza Burawy: «We have always been talking about the importance of the stability of clubs, and not resorting quickly to the dismissal of the coach, and I see that the impact of the Corona virus on football in most countries of the world gave clubs the opportunity to benefit from technical stability, There are several aspects, notably the reduction in the financial spending process, in addition to the fact that the season ended unexpectedly, and there is no reason to dismiss the coaches.
He added: "I think that the change of four clubs for their coaches is a good percentage, but for me, the Al-Wahda club dispensed with Spain's Manuel Khomeenis as a question mark, especially since Annabi improved his results in the second half of the season, and he was the best team in the second round of the league."
He concluded by saying: “The Portuguese Pedro Emmanuel did not get his full chance with Al Ain, so its continuation is normal, and the adherence of Al-Ahly to Spain, Zaragoza, may contribute positively to the team’s results, especially as the coach achieved good results with the team last season.”
