The reigning champion, Djurgården, has started the season well and had won two of the last six matches before today's derby. In the last two matches, they had not managed to score.

In the meeting with AIK, there were two teams that created some chances each. Among other things, Emir Kujovic had a couple of chances, where the best came after a quarter game, but Kujovic never hit the target.

Ten minutes into the second half, AIK was awarded a free kick in a good position, where Sebastian Larsson got on a proper hit, which could just as easily have resulted in 1-0.

Instead, it was the Norwegian, Aslak Witry, who stepped forward and placed a free kick. Witry who decided Djurgården's latest victory match against Falkenberg in extra time.

After 16 attempts without succeeding in defeating AIK in the Allsvenskan, Djurgården can rejoice over a victory.

AIK has only one victory in the last eight matches of this year's Allsvenskan.
