It took 15 minutes, then Jennie Nordin put 1-0 for Växjö away against Piteå. It was also Växjö's first game goal this season.

That would also be enough for the first victory.

The away team played briskly in the first half, and created several nice positions in front of Piteå goalkeeper Caroline Frykgård, who, however, did not result in more goals.

If the first half was Växjös, then Piteå took over completely in the second and launched a frantic attack in the hunt for a draw.

Nice equalizer modes

But the receipt never came. Despite several good chances.

Among other things, Fernanda Da Silva had a number of good positions. In the 61st minute, Da Silva shot a hard free kick that forced Växjö goalkeeper Katlynn Fraine to a qualified save.

Shortly before that, Nina Jakobsson also had a good position, but shot over.

The Piteå onslaught was deceiving, however, and Växjö was able to defend himself in a disciplined and skilful manner in the final stages.

That was enough to salvage the season's first three-pointer, which also meant contact with the team just above the negative table line.
