Lisa Nordén has lined up three straight Swedish Championship gold medals in the distance, but believes that this weekend's competition will be the toughest in a long time. There are several dangerous challengers.

- Since all the best are at home, it will be the toughest race in a long time. Emilia Fahlin is probably the biggest favorite who challenges, but also Nathalie Eklund who was second last year will be tough to meet, says Lisa Nordén to SVT Sport.

The track in Lekeryd is exactly the same as in last year's tempo-SM.

- It is a two-lap course, which goes a little up and down so it is important to keep your tongue right in your mouth. I myself might have preferred a slightly larger road where you can concentrate more on stepping hard straight ahead instead, says Nordén.

Despite the success in cycling, it is still triathlon that she invests the most in.

"Triathlon remains number one"

In 2012, she won Olympic silver in London, after contemptuously losing the gold in a tough sprint duel.

If it had not been for the corona pandemic, Nordén would have competed in the WC in triathlon during the autumn. However, it does not look like there will be any more Olympic investment in the current situation for 36-year-old Nordén.

- Triathlon is still number one, but I have no plan for how long I will last, you do not get younger with age. But as long as the body responds and I continue to have fun, I will keep going. Right now, Sweden has no national place for triathlon for the Olympics and you need to spend two years getting into that competition system, she says.

First, she will try to take her fourth straight Swedish Championship gold in tempo-SM on a bicycle.

- It would have been fantastic to be able to continue building such a suite, she says.
