It was team captain Christoffer Nyman who cracked the newcomer's zero after half an hour of play.

He stayed ahead in the penalty area and when the green and black defense let Eric Smith's nice post bounce before the ball was cleared away, Nyman was first on it and could easily nod in the match's first goal.

This was Nyman's seventh strut of the season, a goal that strengthens his position as the Allsvenskan's best goal scorer.

Lauritsen's fourth goal

The second half was only seven minutes old when the East Goths extended their lead.

After a free kick out to the right of the penalty area, the ball ended up with fullback Lars Gerson who powdered on - and via a half-heel kick from the Dane Rasmus Lauritsen, the ball could find its way into one of the posts.

- This was exactly what we needed today after a poor performance against Sirius. We show that we are good after an adversity and that was important, Lauritsen says to Dplay.

Lukic best with the guests

During the rest of the match, it was closer than an extended lead for Norrköping than that Varberg would reduce the disadvantage and create tension in the battle.

And even if it was not enough for any points for his team, Varberg's goalkeeper Stojan Lukic can be happy with his effort that at least kept the numbers down.

Next, Falkenberg is waiting away for Norrköping, while Varberg is visiting Elfsborg.

- You who watch are shocked that we make good matches, but we are not shocked. But Norrköping is the best team we have met so far, says Varberg's star Astrit Selmani to Dplay afterwards.
