The likely sale of Osimhen to Naples will pay big dividends for Losc. - PHILIPPE HUGUEN / AFP

The National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG), financial gendarme of French football, said Monday that it validated the accounts of Lille, after granting it two successive deadlines to complete its file. Twice in July, 2 and then 16, the body had suspended the Losc to provide it with "additional elements".

The announcement comes as the northern club is close to closing the sale of its Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to Naples, a juicy operation that could reach up to 81 million euros according to the daily La Voix du Nord . The DNCG also validated, without restrictions, the accounts of AS Saint-Etienne and Toulouse FC (L2), whose purchase by the American fund RedBird Capital Partners was formalized on Monday.
