The Ballon d'Or , the most prestigious individual award in football, will not be awarded in 2020 because of a season largely cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic, announced Monday the weekly France Football which awards it. No one will succeed Leo Messi and Megan Rapinoe, the big winners of the 2019 edition. It is the first time in the history of this award created in 1956 that the Ballon d'Or will not find takers.
