Stuck in his country of origin due to the closure of the borders due to a health crisis, the Nigerian international Samuel Kalu Ojim had managed to return to France in early July to find his club from the Girondins de Bordeaux.

But on July 6, after a medical examination, he tested positive for Covid-19 and placed in the fortnight. He is therefore absent this week from the Girondins course which takes place in Dinard, in Ille-et-Vilaine.

The Nigerian should find the Bordeaux group on his return from Brittany on July 27, "if he is no longer positive," the club said.

In total, 32 players from Bordeaux took the bus this Monday morning to reach the site of their first pre-season course under the orders of the Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa. They will participate in seven training sessions and will play on the way back their first preparation match against Angers, on July 25 in Cholet.
