Emirates Today learned that the reason for the delay in Al-Ahly youth club in renewing the contract of player Ismail Al Hammadi was the lack of success in the necessary medical examinations, as a result of an injury suffered by the veteran international player.
The source’s statement to «Emirates Today» came against the background of a report published by «Emirates Today» on the existence of a list of 24 citizen players whose contracts ended with their clubs, and their fate has not been resolved yet, most notably Al Hammadi.
The negotiations between Al-Ahly and Al-Hammadi youth had reached an advanced stage, but the club was late in announcing the deal, and it appeared that it related to the player's injury.
