It does not seem that anything can stop Linus Lundqvist. Since the 21-year-old from Tyresö outside Stockholm moved to the USA, he has won everything in the American formula car series.

This weekend there were competitions in Virginia and the Swede connected his grip on the races immediately when he took home pole position in the qualifiers where he also broke a new lap record. Lundqvist then won all three races but was severely challenged in Sunday's finished race where the Swede took home the race with only two tenths.

- It was the toughest race I have ever ridden. I had to use all the tricks in the book to keep Joshua (second in the race) behind me, but it worked and I will remember this victory for a long time, says the Swede in a press release.

Linus Lundqvist now leads the drivers' championship 49 points ahead of runner-up David Malukas.

The next competition for Formula Regional Americas will take place at Barber Motorsports Park on 1-2 August.
