22-year-old Wictor Peterson was not enough against the Norwegian of the same age Marcus Thomsen in the shot put at the Stadium, Malmö on Sunday. In the fourth attempt, the Swede came up with 20.68, which would be his best shot out of the six possible. But already in the third attempt, Thomsen came up to 20.79 meters and that was enough to win the competition. Peterson had to settle for a second place eleven centimeters shorter.

Wictor Peterson's result is 26 centimeters shorter than his outdoor record from Oslo, June 11 this year. Indoors, the Swede has thrown a maximum of 20.65.
