Ryu Hyun-jin of the US professional baseball major league Toronto Blue Jays is unlikely to be able to stand at the home stadium of Toronto, Canada during the regular season of this year.

The Canadian government has decided not to allow Toronto home games to be held on Ryu Hyun-jin's team, Toronto Blue Jays, because of the pandemic of Coronavirus Infection-19 (Corona 19), CNN and AFP reported.

"For regular games, Blue Jays and staff must cross the border and the opposing team must cross the Canadian border," said Marco Mendicino, Canada's Minister of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship. "You have to play in this high area."

"Based on the advice of public health experts, we concluded that the transboundary movements necessary for the MLB regular season are not adequately protecting Canadians," said Mendino.

Toronto's president, Mark Sherpiro, said, "Community and fan safety are paramount. We respect the federal government's decision." We can't play home games at the Rogers Center this summer, but our players represent Canada. I will not forget the pride that I do."

Hyun-Jin Ryu told MLB.com reporter Keegan Mattzon, "The threat of Corona 19 still exists, and many are fighting Corona 19 on the front line. We must respect the Canadian government's decision to keep it safe."

Toronto is the only Canadian ointment team in the major leagues to play across the border with the United States, and American ointment teams are forced to visit Toronto often.

Therefore, the two-week quarantine exceptions for the Toronto squad and away team squads will not allow normal season operation.

Canada and the United States are currently blocking borders and prohibiting all non-essential movements to prevent the spread of Corona19.

However, Secretary Menditchino has opened the possibility of allowing the game to be played at the home of the Rogers Center if Toronto advances to the playoffs and the Corona 19 situation in the US calms down in the fall.

Toronto will have their first match of the season with the Tampa Bay Race on the 25th, and the home opening game is scheduled for the 30th (Washington Nationals).

Local media refer to Toronto's Dunedin, Florida, with training grounds, and Buffalo, New York, with minor league triple-A home grounds, as candidates for interim notice.

Both places have drawbacks.

There are many players who are reluctant to use Dunedin's TD Ballpark as the number of new corona19 confirmers has increased significantly in Florida recently.

In addition, Buffalo Chalenfield is rated as'we haven't had the right environment to play a major league match'.

The Toronto club said, "I will announce an alternative home stadium as soon as possible."
